it was a moment frozen in time
i turned around to face myself
asked, "so here is where we part?"
"sometimes you just can't have
everything in life" i said as the past
started to fade into the background
i smiled wrily, and continued walking
it was one of those moments where
you know you'll never be the same
again, for worse or better
it was one of those moments where
you know you've grown
